On Wednesday, 26th February 2025, the School of Social Sciences held a ceremony at the Cedi Conference Centre, Department of Economics, to present laptops donated by Trendsetter-Vine Ghana Limited (TVGL) to its six Departments. The event aligns with the University of Ghana’s Strategic Priority 3: Commitment to our Faculty and Staff and Strategic Priority 4: Engagement and Partnerships.

The event was attended by the Provost of the College of Humanities, Professor Joseph Awetori Yaro; Dean of the School, Professor Mavis Dako-Gyeke; TVGL Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Ransford Mensah-Boateng and his team; College Registrar, Mr Benedict Adjei Fosu; Heads of Departments; Faculty; and Staff.

Remarks delivered by all the speakers emphasised the donation’s contribution to improving teaching, research, and operational effectiveness. Representatives from TVGL also announced plans for a new initiative to provide Engineering students with practical industry experience.

The ceremony concluded with the formal presentation of the laptops to Departmental representatives, marking a significant step in strengthening University-industry collaboration.
